Deer Scram is a granular deer repellant that you simply spread in the area you want deer protection. Easy to use, all natural. No foul smell! With Deer Scram, you can enjoy your garden as you always had. Even provides deer control in the winter. Each application lasts over a month and a half. Water proof.
GENERAL APPLICATION
For individual plants and bushes, sprinkle liberally around the plants and bushes to be protected. For small garden plots/flower beds (10 ft. x 15 ft) sprinkle liberally in a 16" strip surrounding the entire bed or plot. The initial application of Deer Scram must be heavy so as to visibly cover the ground around the plants and shrubs to be protected. The strip should be applied 18" from the edge of the plants being protected.
PROTECTION OF LARGER AREAS
For large beds or plots, apply an 16" protective strip 18" outside the area to be protected. Then apply interior strips within the protected area spaced about 30 feet apart. All interior portions of the protected area should have a protection strip of Deer Scram within 15 feet.
COVERAGE
2 1/2 lbs will provide about 165 linear feet of 16" of protective strips, providing protection for an area of up to 1,600 sq. ft. A 6 pound pail will provide about 400 linear feet of protective strips which will protect up to a max of about 5,400 sq. ft. A 25 pound pail will provide about 1,650 linear feet of protective strips which will protect up to a max of about 32,400 sq. ft.
FREQUENCY OF USE
Deer Scram should be used or reapplied every 30/45 days depending on weather conditions. Normal rainfall does not affect Deer Scram. In fact, dampness can enhance its effectiveness. Deer Scram should be lightly reapplied immediately following a heavy downpour or after periods of heavy or frequent rain.
It is important to follow the application instructions and to reapply after a very heavy (1"-2" in an hour) or prolonged period of rain. WINTER USE
Deer Scram is a great winter deer repellent. It works well under up to 18" of fresh snow and can be applied on top of existing snow cover. No mixing or winter spraying difficulties. Reapply every 90 days. If snow becomes crusted over an application, break up the crust and reapply.
